The Wichita center of the Congregation of St. Joseph has announced the appointment of Sister Ann Diskin and Jennie Weyant as co-coordinators of associates.

Sister Ann attended school in Walnut and St. Paul, Kansas, before entering the Wichita convent in 1938.

She earned an undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart College, now Newman University, in Wichita. She has master’s degrees from Emporia State University, Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, and Seattle University in Washington.

Sister Ann was in ministry in Wichita, Kentucky, Idaho and California before returning to Wichita in 2006. Her ministries have included teaching and serving as a principal, and pastoral ministries in parishes.
 

Jennie is a native of southeast Kansas who graduated from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked at both Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg and Via Christi Regional Medical Center in Wichita in various positions.

Sister Ann’s responsibilities will focus on spirituality and will include spiritual direction and program planning. Jennie is responsible for day-to-day administration of the program for the Wichita center, which includes 70 associates in the Wichita area, 25 in California and 18 scattered across the United States. Sister Mary Ellen Loch continues as director of associates.
