Feeding
One of Sister’s happiest experiences was being present when her mother received the sacrament of Baptism. Being with and caring for her mother during her final illness was also a blessing for which Sister is grateful.

Sister Clementia remembers a special time in her life when she walked the road from Kyoto to Nagasaki, in the footsteps of the twenty-six Japanese martyrs (a distance of one thousand kilometers). This pilgrimage was done in cold weather and was somewhat painful, but it resulted in bringing good fruit to bear in her life and in the lives of those with whom she traveled. .  Perhaps the reason why her favorite guiding principle is “All things work out unto good and according to God’s plan.”

Sister Clementia Ito has been involved in many areas of ministry throughout her years of religious life.  For her the time she spent ministering as a case worker to those at Matsuzaka Home for the Aged was especially grace-filled and joyful.

Sister Clementia recalls all her ministries with joy.  During her time at St. Joseph’s hospital, she believes she consciously tried to focus on God’s presence made known to her in those whom she served

Sister Clementia believes that each person she cared for taught her something and would qualify as being a wisdom figure in her life. Sister regards the priests with whom she spoke before she entered religious life and Father Tokuhisga, a Maryknoll priest, as being very important guides in her life.
