Elementary School Picture

Sister Jacklyn was a teacher for twenty
years.  During that time Jacklyn
furthered her education and obtained
certification as an elementary school
principal.  She has experienced outstanding success serving as an administrator in elementary schools throughout
Kansas.

Sister regards her family as being particularly
significant in her life and believes that her
early childhood development enabled her to
accept the many changes in community life
and in the Church since the time of Vatican
Council II.


Sister Jacklyn was the last sister to receive
the traditional habit and the profession cross.

the honor and glory of God.”  She has tried to live by this throughout her r eligious life.
Due to her father’s employment, Sister Jacklyn Mathilda Duncan moved frequently as a child.  During her eight years of grade school she attended twenty-one different schools.  However, by the time she reached high school, the family had settled in the state of her birth, Oklahoma .  It was from there that she entered the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Wichita.
